Title:  Senior Executive, Financial Services

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Handle daily bookkeeping activities
• Assist in year-end auditing processes and prepare documentation for tax agents
• Provide financial information and analysis to support management decision-making
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
• Monitor actual financial performance against budgets
• Prepare and coordinate corporate tax computations and submissions.
• Manage tax-related matters, including tax compliance and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Ensure timely submission of tax returns, payments and other statutory requirements
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors for annual statutory audits.
• Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents and information requested by auditors.
• Follow up on audit queries and assist in resolving audit findings

Requirements:

• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent. Having finance professional certification such as ACCA, MICPA, MIA is an added advantage
• Required skill(s): Proficient with Microsoft Office (in particular to Excel and Power Point) and accounting software. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and statutory compliance. Good knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Malaysian taxation and statutory requirements.
• Key quality(s): Team player, able to work independently while liaising with colleagues. Analytical with strong organizational abilities, strategic thinking, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to details and ability to prioritize, result oriented and good presentation skills
• Required language(s): Excellent in English language both in speaking and writing is mandatory with a good command in Malay
• Desired experience/exposure: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance. Experience in full-set accounting and preparation of financial statements and management reports. Experience liaising with external auditors, tax agents and relevant authorities
• Experience with Big 4 company or any audit firm is preferred
