Responsibilities:
- Support the Operations Manager in managing overall maintenance and integrity activities for upstream production facilities.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance (PdM), and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Ensure compliance with asset integrity management systems, HSE standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor equipment performance, reliability, and integrity status to optimize production uptime and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate inspection programs for pressure vessels, pipelines, tanks, piping systems, and structural components.
- Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations for equipment failures and recurring operational issues.
- Manage shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance campaigns
- Review integrity threats, including corrosion, erosion, vibration, fatigue, and mechanical degradation.
- Coordinate with operations, production, process, HSE, and contractors to ensure maintenance activities are executed safely and effectively.
- Ensure proper implementation of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and maintenance documentation.
- Review maintenance backlog, spare parts availability, and critical equipment strategies.
- Provide technical support for modifications, upgrades, debottlenecking, and brownfield projects.
- Ensure compliance with PETRONAS requirements, DOSH regulations, international codes, and industry standards, including API, ASME, ISO, and NACE, where applicable.
- Participate in audits, technical reviews, risk assessments, HAZOP, and integrity assessments.
- Supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance and inspection activities.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or any equivalent
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification and/or relevant competency certifications will be an added advantage
- Required skill(s): Strong knowledge of Asset Integrity Management Systems (AIMS), preventive and predictive maintenance, and rotating and static equipment maintenance, including corrosion management and inspection techniques. Experienced in reliability engineering and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA). Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP, Maximo, or equivalent. Knowledgeable in shutdown and turnaround planning, mechanical integrity, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Key quality(s): Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities, with good analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and reporting skills, with a high level of safety awareness and operational discipline. Ability to work effectively under pressure in demanding operational environments.
- Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Desired experience/exposure: Minimum of 7 years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations, with exposure to maintenance and asset integrity management. Experience in both offshore and onshore production facilities is preferred. Proven experience in maintenance planning, inspection management, shutdown execution, and integrity assurance.
- Willingness to work at offshore and onshore operational sites and to travel as required by operational needs. Capable of responding to operational emergencies and providing after-hours support when required.
