Work Experience:

The Senior Consultant, SAP BASIS is responsible for delivering both operational support and project-based services across the SAP BASIS landscape. This role involves ensuring system stability, performance optimization, and successful execution of SAP BASIS initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day operational support and project delivery for SAP BASIS.
Perform SAP system monitoring, performance tuning, and workload balancing.
Manage SAP transport management and correction activities.
Handle SAP system administration tasks, including client copy, system refresh, and license management.
Maintain and configure security parameters, user operations, lock tables, and authorization-related activities.
Monitor and maintain background jobs, work processes, and failed updates.
Proactively identify and resolve runtime errors and ABAP dumps.
Troubleshoot and resolve SAP BASIS–related issues in a timely manner.
Perform ad hoc tasks based on business or project requirements.
Prepare technical documentation as required or in line with project payment milestones.

Requirements:

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
Required skill(s): Strong knowledge of SAP BASIS administration, including system installation, configuration, upgrade, and migration. Solid understanding of SAP user administration, authorization management, and role configuration
Key quality(s): Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willing to work long hours and on weekend or public holiday when required
The position is needed to cater BASIS support from 7 am to 12 midnight & days in a week including weekend and public holidays.
Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia
Desired experience/exposure: Minimum of 7–10 years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration. Hands-on experience in SAP monitoring, performance tuning, and system maintenance.
