Title:  Financial Controller

Responsibilities:

• Manage the company's finances, which includes budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and support strategic decision-making for the expansion plan
• Review and analyze financial statements, identifies trends, and evaluates performance indicators to provide actionable recommendations for improving financial outcomes
• Evaluate and track project costs, prepare cost estimates, monitor actual spending vs budget, and provide financial insights to ensure projects remain financially stable
• Prepare financial models to evaluate and assess the financial implications of the Group expansion to provide insights into expected financial exposure
• Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables and reserves to ensure adequate funding for expansion. implement strategies to optimize working capital
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Oversees internal and external audits and ensures compliance with financial requirement

Requirements:

• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent. Having finance professional certification such as ACCA, MICPA, MIA is an added advantage
• Required skill(s): Proficient with Microsoft Office (in particular to Excel and Power Point) and accounting software. Well verse in Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards
• Key quality(s): Team player, able to work independently while liaising with colleagues across business units and countries within the group. Analytical with strong organizational abilities, strategic thinking, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to details and ability to prioritize, result oriented and good presentation skills
• Required language(s): Excellent in English language both in speaking and writing is mandatory with a good command in Malay
• Desired experience/exposure: Minimum 10 years of experience specializing in Accounting and Finance – General/Cost Accounting or equivalent, with at least 5 - 7 years in managerial roles. Preference in Big 4 audit firm with minimum 5 years experience
