Title:  Consultant, FICO

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the end-to-end application improvement (change request) process for SAP FICO modules including GL, AP, AR, and Asset Accounting (AA)
• Act as subject matter expert (SME) in evaluating, prioritising, and approving change requests in alignment with business and IT governance requirements
• Conduct requirement workshops with finance stakeholders and provide expert-level guidance on SAP FICO solutions for complex system enhancements
• Review functional specifications prepared by the team and ensure technical solutions are fit-for-purpose before development handover
• Monitor the overall change request pipeline, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and proper documentation throughout the change lifecycle
• Mentor and guide mid-level and junior team members on SAP FICO best practices and application improvement procedures
• Liaise with cross-functional teams, IT management, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of system changes with minimal business disruption

Requirements:

• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent
• Required skill(s): Advanced SAP FICO configuration (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting); strong command of change request and enhancement management processes; experience in functional specification review and SDLC governance; solid understanding of financial accounting principles
• Key quality(s): Strong leadership and stakeholder management, strategic and critical thinking, proactive in identifying improvement opportunities, able to mentor junior staff, accountable and results-driven
• Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Desired experience/exposure: Minimum 5–8 years of SAP FICO implementation and application improvement (change request) experience; prior experience managing a portfolio of SAP change requests in a large enterprise environment is highly advantageous
